Blue and Grey Christmas Tree :D

A blue and grey decorated paper mache Christmas tree (with added lights) using the stencil and a couple of dies from the wonderful Masculine Additions from The Christina Collection by Card Making Magic exclusive to CraftStash.co.uk :D This was a commission from my sister, her favourite colours are obviously blue and grey, and she just let me go for it with the decorations :D She wears glasses that are the identical shape to the die from Christina's collection, so I as soon as I saw it, I just knew I wanted to make them into decorations for this tiny tree :D I really enjoyed decorating this tree, I think it took me about 4 hours total plus drying time, and painting on those drips of snow was definitely the most time consuming bit! Especially because I had to give them two coats too lol :D Anyway, hope you liked the video! The videos on this channel are probably going to be very sparse again over the next few months, as I have so many bits and pieces to get done, and as always it's my ArTi channel that suffers first lol :D

Spooky Tonic Suitcase Box :D

A fun little Halloween decoration or gift box, or just for anyone who appreciates spooky things lol :D I just had to combine the Spooktacular coffin die set with the Kings Cross Case die set, and the side panels seem to mix and match perfectly which is fantastic!! :D :D :D I also had a go at embossing with one of the Tonic stencils too, I'd not tried it with a Tonic stencil before, but it works brilliantly, and it look extra good when you've embossed their satin mirror card too :D :D :D I LOVE the new way they're doing their sentiment dies with the 'bubble' around the word, I love cutting the main sentiment in black, then adding it to a vellum bubble, and for this sentiment I used plain black card for the bottom two sentiments, then added a pearlescent black die-cut on the top :D I couldn't resist making this a little spooky by adding some bones to the inside of the suitcase!! I had deliberately used the bones insert dies on the outside, as I knew I wanted to have a scattering of bones on the inside, and of course a waving skeleton too :D Hope you liked this little project :D :D :D

The Christina Collection - Magnetic Butterflies :D

A quick video showing how I made some magnetic butterflies :D I went through a phase a few years back of making and selling magnetic butterflies, and I used to stamp and heat emboss in black onto acetate, then trim them out with scissors and use alcohol markers and nail varnish remover on the back of them to add colour, then I gave them the gem body and a magnet too :D And as soon as I saw this stunning butterfly in Christina's collection, I just had to use it to make some more, and I thought why not make a rainbow of them and use my Gilding Polish to add some shimmer :D You could cut all the butterflies from white if you wanted, but then you would need to spend more time trying to cover the whole thing with gilding polish, having the same colour of card underneath saves time and product too :D :D Hope you liked the video :D :D

You can purchase Christina's entire collection exclusively from CraftStash :D And for a limited time (until Tuesday 24th October 2017) you can use the code WOWCMM10 at the checkout to get 10% off of the Christina Collection :D

Tonic-tastic Shaker Coffin Halloween Decoration :D

I love the 2017 Halloween collection of dies from Tonic, they are so gorgeous, and there's so much you can do with them all!! I had this idea to create a shallow shaker (full of bones) in the top of the coffin box, and I was planning on keeping it as a functioning box, however I decided to use pearlescent card to make my box, and because the frame of the shaker was so thin, the glue didn't want to hold on the pearly finish, so I ended up sealing the box and making it a decoration instead, so if I made this again, I would definitely use regular black card instead, the pearly card would be fine for a regular box, but with the added shaker element, there really needed to be a good bond :D I think it makes a cool decoration though, and it's nice to have the interactive shaker element too :D :D Hope you liked seeing how I made this :D :D
